JIMMY CLARK

Jimmy Clark wheels his Holman Moody Ford Galaxie around Rockingham during the American 500 held on October 29, 1967. Clark started 24th and completed 144 of 500 laps due to engine failure. He was credited with a 30th-place finish in the only NASCAR start of his career.

Born in Scotland, Clark won two World Championships in Formula One competition, with 25 Grand Prix wins and 33 poles. He also won the 1965 Indianapolis 500. Clark lost his life in a crash during a Formula Two race in Germany on April 7, 1968.
