THE DON HUNTER COLLECTION
After Curtis Turner's win in the late 1950s, he was joined by what looks like the entire crowd in victory lane. That's Ralph Moody to the right of Turner in the dark jacket.
Times have changed. Look at the youngster holding onto the steering wheel of Turner's car and an adult grabbing the roll cage ... the roll bars wrapped in what looks to be electrical tape ... Turner's short-sleeved shirt driving uniform ... his helmet that appears to be not much more than one worn by a horse jockey ... his desk clock trophy.
Those were the days.
